Golf technology continues to evolve, and I recently had the opportunity to experience two of Blue Tees Golf’s newest products firsthand at their exclusive launch event in Oceanside, California. Held at the iconic Goat Hill Park, the event showcased the all-new Rainmaker Launch Monitor and the updated Captain Pro Rangefinder in a fun, laid-back atmosphere that perfectly matched Southern California golf culture.

RAINMAKER <————-CLick to learn more
$599.99
Compact, portable, high-precision launch monitor for range or home that tracks ball speed, carry distance, spin, and more.
VIP Treatment
As a VIP guest, I received early entry access before the general crowd arrived. The VIP package included a Blue Tees backpack and gave me extra time to check out the products, connect with fellow golfers, and get some swings in before the event got busy.
Tacos, Drinks, and Technology
Blue Tees put together a great event experience with complimentary tacos from Taco Picasso, drinks, and a basket of range balls for every attendee. The setup allowed golfers to test the new Rainmaker Launch Monitor in a real-world environment while enjoying the relaxed atmosphere at Goat Hill.
The Rainmaker Launch Monitor provided instant feedback on each shot, making it easy to track distances and performance. Whether you’re working on your game or simply enjoying a range session with friends, having access to accurate data adds a whole new level of fun and competition.
Putting the Rainmaker to the Test
Of course, I couldn’t resist seeing what kind of numbers I could produce.
My longest drive of the day reached an impressive 286 yards while hitting from a normal standing position. Then, just for fun, I decided to try a drive from my knees. Surprisingly, I still managed to launch one 183 yards, which quickly became one of the more entertaining moments of the session.
The Rainmaker tracked every shot and delivered immediate feedback, making it easy to compare swings and challenge yourself to improve.
A Future Golfer in the Making
One of the highlights of the event was watching my 11-year-old son test his skills with the launch monitor. He consistently averaged 118 yards and recorded a personal best of 135 yards.
Seeing young golfers get excited about technology that helps them understand and improve their game is exactly what makes events like this so enjoyable. The instant feedback kept him engaged and motivated to keep swinging.
First Impressions
Blue Tees Golf has built a strong reputation for delivering premium golf technology at a more accessible price point, and both the Rainmaker Launch Monitor and Captain Pro Rangefinder appear poised to continue that trend.
The launch event successfully combined great products, great food, and a great golf community. Between the VIP experience, the free tacos and drinks, and the opportunity to test the latest gear on the range, it was an afternoon well spent.
A big thanks to Blue Tees Golf for hosting a fantastic event and creating an environment where golfers of all ages could experience the future of golf technology firsthand.
I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on the Rainmaker Launch Monitor as more golfers get their hands on it—and I’ll be curious to see if I can top that 286-yard drive next time.
